Symcode’s customer, marketing and job applicant data register
What data do we collect?
Symcode’s data register may contain personal information such as name, email address,
phone number and your position in your company. We may also store your employer’s
address details and other information disclosed by the data subject such as summaries of our
meetings and conversations. We also collect website user information data and data of job
applicants. In addition of the collected personal information mentioned above we may collect
following data of job applicants: home address, CV, job application, education, work
experience, skills and other information provided by the job applicant.
How will we use your data?
Our company collects your data so that we can process your requests and keep in contact with
you. We use the data to market our services and products, develop our customer relations and
to improve our understanding about the needs of our business partners and potential
customers.
How long do we keep your data?
The personal data will be stored as long as needed for the above said purposes. After that, the
personal data will be made anonymous or removed.
Data sources
The data of the register is obtained via customer relationships, from our website (contact
forms, survey tools, mailing list services, marketing and sales tools, material downloads, user
monitoring, cookies), job application process and recruitment, Symcode Oy’s event
registrations and from publicly available Internet sources. We use Google Analytics for
collecting anonymous website usage data.
Disclosure of data
Symcode Oy shall not disclose personal data to third parties unless legally required to do so
by authorities. We host your data on a cloud based service primarily in the European Union.
The cloud service may replicate the data to servers outside the EU. Any transfers of personal
data are always carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws and
regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Regular protection of the register
Access rights to the data register are restricted to persons who need the data for carrying out
their work duties. Personal data may be processed in information systems which meet the
requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and which are managed by
Symcode Oy.

our register.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request to transfer the data we have
